What this medicine is for
An antiseptic pastille to help soothe and relieve a sore mouth.
Before you use this medicine
Do not use:
If you are allergic to any of the ingredients
If you have an intolerance to some sugars, unless your doctor tells you to (this medicine contains maltitol)
If you are on a low salt (sodium) diet, unless your doctor tells you to (this medicine contains 120 mg of sodium per pastille)
You can use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How to use this medicine
Check the inner bag is not broken before first use. If it is, do not use the pastilles.
Adults and children of 3 years and over:
Allow one pastille to dissolve slowly in the mouth, keeping it near the painful area. Repeat every 2 to 3 hours during the day, if you need to.
Do not give to children under 3 years.
If symptoms do not go away talk to your doctor.
If you use too many pastilles:
Talk to a doctor straight away.
Possible side effects
Most people will not have problems, but some may get some.
If you get any of these side effects, stop using the pastilles and see a doctor:
- Allergic reaction (e.g. skin rash, red or itchy skin, swelling or irritation of the inside of the mouth)
These other effects are less serious.
If they bother you talk to a pharmacist:
- Sore tongue
If any side effect becomes severe, or you notice any side effect not listed here, please tell your pharmacist or doctor.
How to store this medicine
Do not store above 25°C. Store in a dry place.
Keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of children.
Use by the date on the end flap of the carton.
Active ingredient
Each pastille contains 2,4-Dichlorobenzyl Alcohol 1.29 mg.
Also contains: modified starch, maltitol liquid (E965), glycerol (E422), adipic acid, water, myrrh tincture, levomenthol, clove oil, simeticone, glazing agent (vegetable oil, carnauba wax), annatto, sweet orange oil.
